BetterDays launched in April 2022 with a simple but standout idea: give people the power to build their own daily supplement blend. Choose your three flavors, subscribe, and swap them anytime. No upcharges. No friction.
The product hit hard. But the platform? Not built for what came next.
BetterDays had launched on WooCommerce. It was scrappy and fast to market, but as the brand took off, the tech stack started cracking. Buggy carts. Broken subscriptions. Missed orders. Not to mention a customer service team stuck cleaning up messes instead of focusing on growth.
They came to us with a clear brief: we’re growing fast, and our stack can’t keep up. Help us move fast, but stay stable.

The Work
We architected a full replatform from WooCommerce to Shopify, rebuilding BetterDays’ digital experience from the ground up, with scalability and performance at the core.
Recharge was the obvious choice for subscriptions. Their bundling functionality gave us the backend power to support BetterDays’ “build-your-own-bundle” flow, but we didn’t stop at native tools. Instead of using Recharge’s default UI, we built a fully custom bundling interface using the Recharge SDK, matching BetterDays’ brand standards and prioritizing simplicity at every touchpoint.
The migration was complex. Each subscriber had their own unique blend, with different flavors, schedules, and swap preferences. There was no template to follow. So we built the tools ourselves — automating migration, validating data, and stress-testing everything before go-live.
